DigiParchi ("we", "us", or "our") provides a point-of-sale, inventory, billing, and reporting service for mandi and agri-trading businesses (the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data the Service collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers account holders—the mandi or trading firms and their staff who sign in and use DigiParchi—and the customers, farmers, and truck operators whose names, phone numbers, and transaction details an account holder enters into the Service.
Organisations provision the account IDs used by their staff. DigiParchi does not offer public self-sign-up; the organisation administrator decides who may access its workspace and remains responsible for records entered there.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, user ID, name, address, phone number, and password. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text.
- Phone verification: phone number and one-time passcode when identity verification is used for a sensitive action.
- Business and financial records: customer and farmer names and phone numbers, lots, bookings, bills, purchase history, payments, and related financial data entered by account holders to operate their business.
- Voice Help: spoken questions and resulting transcripts only when an authorised administrator starts the optional Voice Help feature.
- Printer connection: the mobile app can use Bluetooth locally to discover and connect to a thermal printer when you choose to print a receipt. Bluetooth is not used to infer your location.
- App activity and diagnostics: app interactions, crash or diagnostic information, performance information, device or session identifiers, and other technical information needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- Website analytics: if you agree through the cookie notice on digiparchi.in, Google Analytics may record page views and general device, browser, and approximate-location information. This does not run inside the logged-in app.
3. How we use data
- Authenticate you and operate inventory, billing, reporting, printing, and account features.
- Send one-time passcodes for identity verification on sensitive actions.
- Generate receipts, reports, and exports on an account holder's behalf.
- Answer an authorised administrator's Voice Help request when they choose to start it.
- Maintain security, troubleshoot errors, and improve the Service.
- Understand aggregate usage of our marketing website if you consent to analytics.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Service providers
We use service providers to run DigiParchi:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
- SMS delivery provider configured for Supabase Authentication: one-time passcodes and administrator verification.
- Google Gemini: Voice Help audio and prompts only while an authorised administrator uses that optional feature.
- Google Analytics: website usage analytics on digiparchi.in only, when consented to.
We do not share personal data with anyone else except where required by law.
5. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your login and personal profile from inside the app. See Delete your account for instructions.
Business and financial transaction records created by you or your organisation, such as bills, bookings, and payments, may be retained in anonymised form for accounting, tax, audit, safety, or legal requirements.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to confirm, access, correct, or erase your personal data, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These requests remain subject to lawful retention requirements. Contact us at support@digiparchi.in.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS, and business data is scoped to each organisation using database-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
8. Children
DigiParchi is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
